There are complex relations added to some of the standard objects, notably the triggered send definition also has lookup relationships on email returning the full path as well as the code.
This system allowed client to search and build their own inventory records. It allowed my team to search and build their own inventory records as well as answer difficult questions without engaging several resources to query the databases.
